[Baketitian’s Cookie Party Platter haha]
The Holidays is time filled family and friends, vacations, a break from the real world, snow, turkey, and holiday TREATS and SWEETs.
During the holidays, it is common to hear people complain and predict that they will gain so much weight, because all the good food they cannot resist eating. Yes, I’m talking to you!! We have all been there, but it’s nothing to be ashamed of. It is the holidays, so we tell ourselves that we can enjoy it right? Yes, you can have that delicious cookie I just baked, but don’t eat the whole bag in one sitting. Savour the taste of that ONE (or two) cookie(s). Moderation is the KEY. You don’t have to cut all foods out of your diet :)
This holidays, I decided to make holiday cookies to sell. It wasn’t a huge success, but it was fun nonetheless and it showed me that… making 4 different kinds of cookies in one day, requires a lot of dish washing which I totally dread! Anyone want to be my dishwasher? I’ll pay in you cookies, haha.
1. White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies 2. Crunchy Molasses Spiced Cookies
3. Chocolate Chip Cookies 4. Sugar Cookies with Royal Icing
OMG I LOVE these little plastic bags you can put your treats in; they make such cute little gifts:

After making all these cookies, I went a little crazy. I turned into the cookie monster, haha. I even had an emotional cookie breakdown because I totally failed in baking more sugar cookies; I hate the dough and the chilling process- it’s totally frustrating and annoying. I will eventually conquer the sugar cookie battle again ... but for now, I hate those pretty little things.
Well I hope you had an awesome holiday, ate amazing food, and ready for 2011!
Bon Appetit,
Jenny
